(I have committed to writing something here for twenty-one consecutive days, but I lack the will today to expound upon a tweet I had tapped out earlier.)
Things I have read recently (some of which I should continue to read):
- “Use of Case Formulation and Goal Attainment Scaling to Plan and Evaluate Therapy” (Stuart, unpublished)
- “Cognitive function in schizophrenia. Deficits, functional consequences, and future treatment.” (The first author has apparently had his medical license suspended for unethical research practices related to drug companies.)
- “Cognitive deficits in patient with schizophrenia: effects and treatment.”
- The Gift: How the Creative Spirit Transforms the World (courtesy Andrea—still working my way through it!)
- Clinical Study Guide for the Oral Boards in Psychiatry (not a pleasurable read by any measure)
- Learning Clinical Reasoning (I’m borrowing it from an attending; I wish I had read this book earlier in my training)
There are two articles related to cognitive rehabilitation in the queue. I haven’t read any fiction in a while.
