Goals for 2009.

Proposals, anyway.

  • Keep my desk uncluttered on a daily basis.
  • Buy pants that fit. (Hopefully I’ll accomplish that before 2009 starts.)
  • Pass my oral board exam.
  • Run a half-marathon.
  • Read more. (What does “more” mean?)
  • Write more. (What does “more” mean? This should really be “write more quality stuff”. I don’t know what “quality” means.)
  • Become a better teacher (define “better”).
  • Pay off more of my educational debt than is scheduled each month.
  • Should Fortune smile upon me, release my last financial obligation in Seattle.
  • Take more photographs of New York City.
  • Figure out a way to continue to contribute to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, since I won’t be participating in the walk-a-thon in Seattle this year. (The New York City Marathon is an option, but I am not confident that I can tolerate the training for a marathon.)
  • Increase my tolerance for things that are not particularly fun, but are noteworthy and are directed towards a good cause.
  • Learn to throw a ball properly (i.e. not “like a girl”).
  • Enhance and exercise my creativity, before my medical training beats it out of me.
  • Throw more strangers unexpected smiles.
